Event Review - E-asy Internet Explained
Posted: 14-Dec-05

Good eBusiness practice and advice, delivered in a friendly and informative manner by Internet professionals is what we aim for and this is what we achieved at the E-asy Internet event held at the Freight House, Rochford.

Jointly planned with Susan Rom of Rochford District Council, this event provided a useful forum for those wanting to ask general questions about the Internet, websites, email and all other aspects of trading online.

Peter Banks of datapartners gave us a short presentation on the benefits of using the Internet, including some history, some not too technical stuff, cost savings, domain name information and some jargon busting. All delivered in Peter's engaging style!

Scott Whitehead gave us a starter guide to getting a website. Scott took us through from the objectives of the site, through all the decision making processes to the marketing of the site. Have a look at Scott's presentation and the Jargon de-mystified document linked below.

As we were running out of time, we took our cups of tea and yummy pastries whilst listening to Scott and during the Question and Answer session that followed.
Questions ranged from Where to get a domain name, the pros and cons of DIY and template sites, to costs of website development, to legal issues to be aware of.

Big thanks to Peter and to Scott for sharing their expertise with us today. They can be contacted at:
